Richard is back from the “Heads VI” meeting and we talk a bit about what went on during this pow-wow of the high muckity-mucks of atheism. We didn’t have a whole lot of time to spend on it during the show, but I promise we’ll get Richard either on the Chariots of Iron podcast or on a special “extra” edition of the Atheist News Podcast to talk more about the meeting.

Hey guys,
I just finished listening to this episode and wanted to let you know that, with regard to the UN blasphemy resolution, you are missing to bi picture. Without sounding like I am preaching about the slippery slope, I will say that the real problem with laws like this is that the affect the poorest countries in the world. We in the US may be able to tell the UN to go fuck themselves, but countries that receive aid from the UN do not have that luxury. Aide can be, and often is, withheld from nations that do not comply with UN resolutions. Again, we don’t have that problem here because we don’t. Need UN aide (at least not yet anyway). Otherwise, keep up the good work and we would love to have one of you guys (or both) here in Charlottesville, NC.
